Facebook provides a convenient way to deactivate and delete your Facebook account. Deactivation of account is not a solution for you if you want to remove your account forever. After you deactivated your account, your profile and all other information related to ID will not be accessible to other users. However, your account is not deleted from Facebook servers and can be retrieved again when you want. If have decided to remove your Facebook account then follow the steps below.
How to Backup your Facebook Data?
- Click on Gear Icon at the top right of your Facebook page
- Select Account Settings from menu
- Click on Download a Copy of your Facebook Data (Below General Account Settings Area)
- Now click on Start my Archive
- This will backup your all Facebook Data

Disable Linked Apps
You may be connected to Third party apps and given permission to access your account. Remove all these apps first. This is necessary because after deletion, if you access your account within 14 days, your account will be activated again.
- Click on Gear Icon at the top right of your Facebook page
- Select Account Settings from menu
- Click on Apps at Left Sidebar
- Click on cross sign to remove an app.
Remove Facebook Account Permanently
- Login to Facebook
- Click on the Delete Account Button below
- Click Delete My Account on new page opened
- Fill Captcha and your Password and Ok
Do Not login to your Facebook account in next 14 days. This will activate your account again.
